Dlink 560IS+++ Internal Modem installation with Redhat 9.0 kernel 2.4.20

The internal modem is dlink 560IS+++ with SM56 motorola chipset.
The OS is Redhat 9 with 2.4.20 kernel.

does anyone know how to get this combination working? There is no driver provided by the vendor.

Another option would be to provide a name of a modem/chipset which is known to work in the above setup.

Thanks in advance on both counts!!

Also::::::
Ok folks, This can be an interesting problem to solve, though I am stuck in the initial stages itself.

What am I trying to Achieve:
Teaming 2 modems to increase my bandwidth.

Mysetup:
1)Redhat 9.0 with kernel 2.4.20-8 on an Athlon XP 2100 /Asus platform
2)There is the D-link 560IS+++ Internal modem on it. No suitable drivers that go above 14Kbps yet. It has the sm56 chipset from motorola.
3) Exterrnal D-Link DFM-560ES modem connected via the Serial Port and this one works fine.

If internal modem continues to give grief, I am planning to install another external usb modem.

So what help do i need?

a) Either the right drivers for the internal modem, OR
b) Recommendation for the external USB modem.
