distro help :newbie:

hey there all,

i am looking for a distro for my server, i cant seem to get php to run a script from command line on mandrake 9.1 (maybe a php4.3.0 difference). i.e. i get 'php: command not found' when doing 'php bot.php'. so if you know how i can fix that (and no i cant get php to install from source, some dependency problems) then that would solve it all.

anyway these are the things that i am looking for in a distro, here is what i need it to do:

Print Server
File Server (samba)
Webserver for DownLoads
Quake 3 Server
PHP command line script running
MUST have some graphical or easy way to setup the print, file and web servers. i am noob at this, so i need the wizards thx.

THE most difficult thing though (and one of the two MOST IMPORTANT things), is that i need it to be able to handle the hotplugging of my usb mouse and keyboard. mandrake is great at it, redhat seems to be terrible. i run my desktop and server on a usb kvm switch and when i switch away from redhat i lose mouse/keyboard function.

also, something that isnt TOO bad to install (read: probably not debian or slackware).

thanks, i await your advice.

p.s. wrong forum maybe?

Have you looked into Libranet? It's based on Debian, but has easy configuration tools for setting things up.
