This could be any number of things... but try tackling first just configuring X by hand. First make a backup copy of /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 (I think... it might not have the -4, I haven't played with RH beta.) Put that copy in anywhere but /root, because X will look for one there first! annoying! /home/someuser is a good idea.
Then as root, run:
/usr/X11/bin/xf86config
And then of course re-start X-windows.
