Angry display clarity

I just installed the latest red hat beta .burned the isos to bootable cds and installed straight away. I was surprised at the ease of it. I am still trying to get around and learn what I can about this software. The only real problem I am having has to do with the display being a bit blurry, I changed the font and it really helped with the desktop but in the mozilla browser everything is blurred , not bad enough not to be able to read it but enough to bother the heck out of me. would appreciate any help you guys could pass my way
thanks

This could be any number of things... but try tackling first just configuring X by hand. First make a backup copy of /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 (I think... it might not have the -4, I haven't played with RH beta.) Put that copy in anywhere but /root, because X will look for one there first! annoying! /home/someuser is a good idea.

Then as root, run:

/usr/X11/bin/xf86config

And then of course re-start X-windows.

Cheers,

Finegan
