disk diagnosis

Hi Guys

Can you guys recommend some tips on how to diagnose suspect disk issues

Hardware that i need to check is:

scsi disks, sata disks

I use the CRK distro at http://www.crashrecovery.org/ and Helix (more of a forensic toolkit) at http://www.e-fense.com/helix/index.php
