Disk Boot Failure

I have a win2k3 server that I am trying to overwrite with the new Ubuntu 10.10. I used this disk on a different machine and it was flawless. The w2k3 machine gets to the "boot from cd:" in the bios then continues on to run windows. I do know the cdrom works.

I have surfed the web and found I am not alone but no solution has worked yet. I have set all boot options to cdrom and keystrokes are not recognized. Once it gets past all I get is "Disk Boot Failure, Insert System Disk and Press Enter."

The hardware is a shuttle ideq with a NC51G-S7 bios. How do I get this to install?

Greetingz!

I've not used Ubuntu before, but assuming the installer has a "Check Media" function, I would boot that installation disk on another system and run that check.
(You would be surprised how tiny a smudge or scratch can affect an OS install).

If the disk checks-out fine, then I would suggest a USB install method (hopefully the BIOS supports booting from a USB flash stick)
