difference between ga-ma78gm-us2h and ga-ma78gm-s2h and coreboot?
i was looking at the list of supported motherboards for coreboot and one of them is the GIGABYTE ga-ma78gm-us2h
mine is a GIGABYTE ga-ma78gm-s2h i was looking at the specs on GIGABYTE's website and there does not seem to be a significant difference between the two boards perhaps someone can explain in a bit more detail the difference? more importantly is there anything that would prevent coreboot from running on the ga-ma78gm-s2h if it runs on the ga-ma78gm-us2h? or would i be asking for a bricked mobo if i tried? is there any way of testing before flashing to know whether or not it will work? |
Have you gone over this?:

You may want to follow the above instructions and post to the coreboot mailing list. http://www.coreboot.org/mailman/listinfo/coreboot Also, both the US2H(rev. 1.0 & 2.0) and the S2H (rev 1.0, 1.1, 2.x) have multiple revisions which seem to use different BIOS versions. |
