Dell MobilePro 1300 (aka: Broadcom Corp. BCM4386)
Hello.
I am having some difficulties with getting Ubuntu to recognize my Dell MobilePro 1300 Wireless Card. (Also known as a: Broadcom Corporation BCM4386) 802.11b/g Wireless LAN Controller. (Yes, the evil Broadcom Corp. and their anti-linux support) The problem is this: I installed Ubuntu Installed NDIS Wrapper Installed the driver Ran: Sudo Modprobe Ndiswrapper after the driver installation and the device is shows as "Not Present" And its not working. I have a very low level of Linux experience. Please try to go step by step, I am not willing to buy a new WiFi card, I really want to use this one. Thanks -Zylstra |
Found the solution!
Right here: http://ubuntuguide.org/wiki/Ubuntu:F...Ndiswrapper.29 The download script (which, unfortunately, requires a login to access) and the instructions that go with it worked excellently. My card now works |
