I am a newbie to Linux. I am running RedHat 7.3 Pro on a Dell Latitude C840.
Does anyone know how to get my X windows to work with a NVIDIA GeForce4 440 Go (Dell Mobile)?
You help would be greatly appreciated.
Nvidia Drivers aren't built into X all that well, Nvidia produces their own Linux drivers for their cards, and actually does a brilliant job of it. Check out this link:
Whatever the "define your own" is under the config you are using and grab your monitor's stats (HorizSync and VertRefresh) right off of the Dell site or from the manuals that came with the machine.
