Dell Inspiron E1705 SD/MMC driver


Please advise me from where I can download a driver SD/MMC driver for my Dell Inspiron E1705 with Windows XP.

You should be able to use the dell chipset driver found here


I believe this is the wrong forum

It is already in the kernel since 2.6.17. Some distributions set it up as a module or set it up as built-in. It is easier if it is set as built-in. Read the following page.

I recommend do not download any additional modules (drivers) unless it does not work. Also include all SD/MMC reader support.

I did read it. If the user posted here with out reading the title of the this site, then the user is an idiot. Though it will tell the user that Linux already has support out of the box with out the need to go some where else for a particular driver which might be an endless search for some brands.

i agree with you there electro.. but.. not everyone is as bright or even know the term linux
might as well get those users on the right track as there already side tracked if they post things in linux forums.
