Debian thinks my webcam is a soundcard
We use Debian at my work. We are trying to set up a webcam, the first one we got wasn't supported but we have aquired a Sony Eyetoy camera that is supposed to be supported.
I tried to get it running at home but only got as far as getting a green screen so I thought I'd try it on the work machine. If I plug the cam in and boot then we have no sound and the cam isn't picked up by xawtv. The machine seems to recognise the cam as a soundcard.
Any ideas whats going on and how I can get around it?
