debian not detecting wireless ethernet card
I am running Debian on kernel version 2.6.12.1. My wireless ethernet card Dell TrueMobile 1150 (which i understand to be really an Orinoco) will not run or even be detected by linux at all.
My eth0, which is a Broadcom, runs fine, but i only use it when i cant use my wireless. In the installation of Debian, it detected both eth0 and eth1 and asked me to choose which one i used for the installation, which was eth0 at the time. it loaded everything correctly, but now it cant detect eth1 (or wont). lspci: 0000:00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corp. 82845G/GL[Brookdale-G]/GE/PE DRAM Controller/Host-Hub Interface (rev 03) 0000:00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corp. 82845G/GL[Brookdale-G]/GE Chipset Integrated Graphics Device (rev 03) 0000:00:1e.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corp. 82801 PCI Bridge (rev 82) 0000:00:1f.0 ISA bridge: Intel Corp. 82801DB/DBL (ICH4/ICH4-L) LPC Bridge (rev 02) 0000:00:1f.1 IDE interface: Intel Corp. 82801DB/DBL (ICH4/ICH4-L) UltraATA-100 IDE Controller (rev 02) 0000:00:1f.5 Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corp. 82801DB/DBL/DBM (ICH4/ICH4-L/ICH4-M) AC'97 Modem Controller (rev 02) 0000:02:01.0 Ethernet controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4401 100Base-T (rev 01) 0000:02:04.0 CardBus bridge: Texas Instruments PC11510 PC card Cardbus Controller cardctl ident: no pcmcia driver in /proc/devices thanks |
