Google "Dax Network" and go to the company homepage. From there you gan go to products > wireless and there is a menue bar across the top. DX900USB is the only other listed - there are downloadable manuals as well - in the manuals page you will find DX900PCI for some reason, and not the PCMCIA version.

Whatever, if you are mega-keen then you can try getting the manual - they expect you to register first so I didn't bother. This may include information you want.

Personally, I'd ditch the card and go for one which is proven to work under linux.

Do you know how to search the HCL's on LQ?

http://www.linuxquestions.org/hcl/showcat.php?cat=144 For linksys network cards. See if you're freind's card is on the list.

In general - look at the top of the (this) page. There is a horizontal menue.

Home Forums HCL Reviews Search Tutorials User CP

If you want hardware and you're not sure what is good, click on "HCL" and follow your nose. The very common ones are in there.

Another one you want to try is "User CP", where you can edit your profile so that your location and distributions will show up in the sidebar... like mine (left) see? You can also customise your signiture so you print a cool or pithy message below

[bf]seriously:[/b] look through the other links in my previous messages. Especially the HOWTO's because they will learn you what's what! When you start with linux, you have lots of reading to do.

We contacted the DAX guys. They specified that the card does not have a support on linux. But have also said to try the driver support from linuxant. We have already installed a linksys card on the fedora core 1 system and now as a try are trying to install dax using the linux ant on the fedora core 3 system so that we could get a better support. any way i will keep you informed about it as soon as our testing is completed.
