D-Link DWA-642 Wireless adapter won't connect in 10.04 LTS
Hey guys,
I just picked up a D-Link DWA-642 Rangebooster N, (PCMCIA) wireless adapter for my older Panasonic Toughbook CF-48 laptop running Lucid. When I plug in the card, it detects my network but when I attempt to connect to my network, the wireless "radar" icon in the top task bar just scrolls and it will not lock into my network. My network is WPA-PSK Personal protected and I am entering the correct password, but after a couple of minutes, the pop up screen asking for a password pops back up.
I found an article online, which discusses this adapter and Ubuntu distro 9.04 and based on what it states I gather I may need ndiswrapper to have it connect? I assume there is a more recent version?
Can anyone help me out? I am still a novice at Ubuntu so it would be greatly helpful.
