It is actually better to underclock than overclock memory. Memory last longer when it is underclocked.

I recommend buying two memory modules of the same speed, same model, and same brand when using dual-channel memory controllers. Keep the number of memory modules to an even number when a memory controller supports dual-channel. Spend a little extra and get ECC memory.

Antec power supplies suck. Seasonic power supplies is actually better.

Probably not the most constructive review I have ever read.

There are many Antec models. And the NEO is pretty solid and super quiet. Not a complaint here. I researched for a long time before choosing it.

I blamed the video card at first, but when the usb devices started failing I looked elsewhere.

I ended up buying an Antec Neo 450 PSU and all the problems went away.

So my guess would be that your PSU could very well be slowly dying. Best to get a good value but strong PSU like the Antec if for no other reason than it is good insurance if your current PSU pops and takes out some devices with it.

I had originally thought my PSU was the cause of my problems, though in the end it turned about to be some misinformation in my mobo manual... Still, I changed my power supply anyway. The voltages of my generic one were majorly fluctuating, and I was pretty close to reaching it's 350 watts max of usage, especially since I'm planning on adding another HDD sometime. I'm not even sure that my old PSU could deliver the 350 watts in the specs.

Ariox, I suggest spending more on a better power supply in the future. A 400 power supply that is less than $50 is not what I say quality. I recommend power supplies with active power factor controlled and universal voltage (100 volts to 240 volts).

That is is what they all say. Antec actually sucks period. I should know, I replace all computers that have Antec power supplies with Seasonic model S12 because my Antec power supplies was giving me problems.

Yes but what problems specifically? "They suck" is not helpful information for anyone. For example, the NEO has problems with some Asus motherboards where the board won't accept power. And this was only one model.

You make a blanket statement that covers a wide range of power supplies. The opinion of others is that they are solid beasts for the money.

The overclockers site has some great recommendations with good reviews, opinions and technical specs which I found helpful when I was choosing a PSU.

With my Antec power supplies, the computer will not power on because the power supply has malfunction from a gremlin lurking in the power supply. Also singing capacitors. Third they are noisy and produce unstable voltages.

I do not think Overclockers.com.au has ever use an oscilloscope or tested the power supplies under 100% load. They only speculate the power supplies and they recommend mostly crappy power supply brands.

No that is not true. Actually take a look at that page. They link off to independent reviews and the reviewers actually do go into power rail testing, loading and the whole kaboot.
