Cups printer wont print color and black at same time

Ok So I have had this problem for like 6 months now, Just haven't had time to figure it out. I have looked with google and other places and Can't come up with anything The Issue:

When i Try to print, It will either use all black (and not print any color) , sometimes it will print all black (and where the color is it will print this nasty yellow/green color). Or i can select to use the color cartridge. And it will print everything in color. I can not seam to figure out how to use both cartridges at the same time. the printer is a HP PSC 1210. Any ideas would be great. Any logs you think might help, let me know and i will post.

You can check the settings and log for your printer using the CUPS admin page. Type: http://<hostname or ip>:631. You'll find the log under the Administration tab and printer options under the Printer tab.

Ok just to be on the safe side *because i know i have edited some of the printer files* I readded the printer. From the web config
Printout Mode: Normal (Color Cartridge)
Resolution, Quality, Ink Type, Media Type: Controlled By Printout Mode

when i print that way, It goes through the motions of print, But the page is completely blank.

switching the printout mode to Normal (black cartridge) Everything prints, even the color wheel but it is print with no color, (black shading)

Do you have a method of doing a test print directly from the printer using the printer button(s)?

From the all-in-one front panel: Press and hold the Cancel button, and then press the Color Start Copy button. The test page marked B in Figure 2 will print.

Buy a better printer that 100% works instead that mostly works.

If you insist on using the printer, I suggest set the quality to high and print out mode to either 300ColorCMYK or 600ColorCMYK. Then leave those settings as your default.

I do not have the printer. I just read through the PPD file.

Printers are meant to be supported in Windows. Rarely manufactures spend time supporting the printer in Linux.
