Creative Zen How to Connect to

I recently I got a Creative Zen. In order to get Creative Zen to work with Debian:
Code:

aptitude install libmtp7 amarok mtpfs mtp-tools
Then in Amarok:
Go to Settings -> Configure Amarok -> Media Devices and select 'Add Device.' Choose MTP Media Device and give it a name.
Click on the bottom left corner 'device.'
Then click on 'connect' which is the first horizontal button on the left.

is what helped me get it work. (There were others but they didn't work as well e.g. Gnomad2 and kzenexplore.)

After some experimentation I found that once things were up and running Gnomad2 worked better. Using Amarok about 1/2 of the artists names disappeared from the songs. Formatting the Zen and reinstalling the same songs with Gnomad2 resulted in all the songs maintaining all their tag data.
