Creative Jukebox Zen

Hi,

I can't get my jukebox running...does anyone?
I know that there are some efforts to support creative devices on linux, but I tried and failed.
there is some work at sourceforge: there is a library called libnjb which should manage the hardware access and there are some applications using libnjb. They are called kionjb and qtnjb and gnomad.
gnomad is for gnome desktop, as I am using kde3.2, this sucks. I couldn't even try out. Did someone out there have success with gnomad?
qtnjb, works on QT as one can tell. Gui works, creative device is recognized but no read/write actions are possible.
kionjb, doesn't work at all. I mailed with the developer because of configure errors, worked those out, and then make delivers a huge amount of errors. Same behaviour through the entire version list.

I got my nomad to work with Gnomad2 in KDE 3.3. Just make sure your'e not playing any music when you hook up your nomad for the first time. You may also run into some dependency issues, and if your'e doing this under SuSE, YaST won't fetch the dependencies so make sure the dependencies are straight. In debian, there should be no problem using apt.
