CPU frequency-scaling


howto check under linux, if my CPU does support frequency-scaling ?
I have both system installed: debian sarge & suse 10.0

my CPU:
CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.00GHz (1999.95-MHz 686-class CPU)
  Origin = "GenuineIntel"  Id = 0xf24  Stepping = 4

You do have scaling support. The Stepping portion of that CPU output lets you know that you have 4 speeds that it can throttle to.
