Not sure if this is a hardware problem or an OS problem, or both.
Code:
My machine spec:
Ubuntu 6.10
Pentium 3 600MHz
512MB RAM (PC133)
40GB (software RAID 1 - IDE)
1TB (software RAID 5 - SATA I 3x500GB with 1 Rosewill Silicon Image PCI 4-SATA ports)
Nvidia vga card 64MB
When I copy multiple files to my RAID5, it will eventually stall up the whole system. I then have to do a hard reboot. I also notice that my memory gets used up and it ends up using swap memory.
What could be the problem? SATA control card?
