Connecting ZQ-3200 Sharp with Linux?

Hi,

I am still time to time using a old good Sharp, but I
would like to backup my data using the/a serial com
cable.

I have an USB to com1, but but... I cannot find
my cable.

Would know how to make a new one and connect Linux on it?

Kind regards

The only real information I found was this site.
http://www.imslsoft.com/xlinkwin.htm

Without the cable you might be out of luck.

oh ,... I have the floppies of a soft that runs on DOS.
I didnt know that win soft existed.

I had a soft on dos and the cable, I must check where it might be

I thought that own designing this serial cable might be possible

I remember that for the floppy and serial cable, I had to pay about 100-130 euros. (btw, how much is it in Belgium Euros?)

If you could find a 4 pin connector it might be possible to build your own. It should be fairly easy I would think to determine the pins on the 4 port connector however it appears that searching for the CE-136T also lists the cable as a level converter so the output from the unit is probably TTL.

It would be easy... but...
I could find a 4 pin connector, but I would need to know the correspondence of the electrical cable from COM to the Sharp-4-pin connector.

In the manual, they do not tell how to make correspond the cables. :(
Anyone still having the possibility to open and check the electrical cables on any of those? ex. CE-300L http://www.pcmuseum.ca/details.asp?i...ype=Peripheral

Is it USB type, parallel, USB to parallel or vice versa?

I might be able to help, but you have to be specific, I have a lot of cables that is why I ask.

Hi,

I would be so much happy of it. I can weld, and buy the 4-pins, com1,... into an electronic store.

Here is what I would need:

http://www.441auctions.com/detail.as...ftwarehardware

it is a COM1 <-> 4-pin sharp cable. what would be the sketch for me to weld this cable?

I still have the OL-390 floppy disk.

I will see if I have one.

I will see if I have one in one of my cases, if I have one I will need your contact details (do not give it to me just yet). Looking at the organizer I just might have what you need, but I will have to look for it, it will take me sometime if that is OK with you.

Hi, I dont understand much regarding contact details. For instance, taking an electric controller, one can pound the 4pins to the COM1 or COM 25 pins. Well, I believe that it must not be so complicating connecting (cable correspondence), but who really knows. I have somewhere also the cable but I cannot find it :( I search this month or in september again but I do not believe I can find it, still a surprise.

I am looking forward to hearing you. OK. Thank you !
