Connecting external modem
 
I have problem connecting to inet with Askey 56kb ext fax voice modem(v1456vqe) to my installed Linux Mandrake 7.1.Even after entering t he recommended Modem command process stops with No Dial Tone message.What has to be done tomake the connection? Alternately,is it possible forme tromake my PCTEL 56Kb V90 Platinum iternal modem installed and fnctioning well with my WinXP.Pro to work with Linux Mandrake and what steps to take.ananta
