Connecting a HP LaserJet 1320n

Hey folks!!

Recently in my office has been installed on the network a HP LaserJet 1320n. I need to connect my Linux-based computer to the printer, I have its IP address but it seem that I need another parameter called URI number.

How can I find it?

Many Thanks

Pitto

hp 1320n and Suse 10.1

First, turn the firewall off.

Go to System/YaST/hardware/printer/ and choose:
- Network Printers
-- Print Directly to a Network Printer
--- Direct TCP Port Printing
---- Look UP - Scan for Direct Socket Servers
---- TCP Port Number: 9100
----- Choose Name, Description and Location just for reference

Printer Model
- Choose Manufacturer (HP)
- Choose Model (LaserJet 1320 Series)

Done!
Test the printer (double side works good) and check firewall again, turning it on and opening specific ports to keep the
printer working...
