Complex Keyboards (Logitech) special feature usage. Does it work?

Ok, simple question: Do the new keyboards with all the special features work in Linux, or is that a 'doze only area these days?

I don't see spending the money if the features only work in Windows, hence the question.

Thanks.

If by special features you mean internet and multimedia shortcuts, then yes they work, and can be easily configured.

If you mean the gaming keyboard with the special LCD --> yes. I think the games that this would come in handy on are online and you'd probably set off any kind of cheat detection system by working in a hook on stats, I don't know it just seems likely. But hey, you can do a lot of cool things with the LCD OUTSIDE of gaming :)

All the extra gaming keys are just a matter of getting scancodes of the keyboard and binding them to usable names, no big deal.

One that I saw recently had a touchpad for volume and either it was balance of input volume. I was thinking of looking into it as a new keyboard to replace my 20.00 dollar keyboard which replaced the keyboard that came with my comp, and it (although it is about 100.00 w/ mouse) seemed like an interesting solution, and was thinking, like I said before, that buying it and not using the extrakeys would be a waste.
