compiling alsa driver on elive

Can someone here please help me, i posted this thread on elive forums but got no help there (i guess the community is to small rather than here),

http://edevelop.org/node/3842

My problem is that i have to compile a newer version of alsa (1.0.13+, the installed version is 1.0.12rc1) in order for my sound driver to work (hda-intel on toshiba laptop). I compiled both tne newest driver (1.0.14) and the one from the debian packages (1.0.13.5), but the driver wont load after compilation. one of the errors i noticed (there where a lot) was "fatal error running install command snd-hda-intel"
then i compiled with module assistant and one of the errors i got whas that i'm using a different compiler than the one used to compile the kernel.

i compiled alsa the same way on debian and ubuntu and it works but i realy like to use elive as my distribution, so lease help.

thanks,

Install correct gcc.

Have to goto to the elive website (or use their chatroom) and find the correct gcc version for your elive release and install it.
