Compaq Wireless WL110 card

I'm trying to get a wireless Compaq WL110 card working on FC1.

I'm a total newbie so I will provide the information that I think is relevant.

I performed "/sbin/cardctl ident" and it reports seeing the Compaq card as "Compaq WL110 PC Card"

When I go into Hardware Browser and look at the network devices it lists the built-in Ethernet adapter as eth0 and it lists the Compaq card as eth2. There is a built-in wireless adapter as well that is not compatible with Fedora (from what I can tell anyway) and I think this is the reason why Fedora is calling the Compaq card eth2 (I'm assuming the unknown wireless card is eth1).

Now, when I go into Network and configure the Compaq card it wants to call it eth1.

Is this going to create a conflict?

Also, shouldn't the PCMCIA card show active even if a wireless access point is not available? I tried doing "/etc/rc3.d/S24pcmcia restart" but it didn't seem to help.

Thank you for any help.
