Has anyone installed Linux on a LATE MODEL Compaq Presario laptop? If so what problems did you encounter?

Hi,
Yes I have installed Redhat8 Redhat 9 and Mandrake 9.1 on my Compaq Presario 14XL250

I was not able to get the modem to work, but everything else worked Ok. I use an external ethernet card (SMC) and that works fine...I dont know about the built in one. The Synaptics mouse also works. The sound works. I did not run any games on it so I dont know how good the video card works..but the video card that comes with it is cheap anyways.
