Compaq deskpro PII 500Mhz and wireless PCI card

Hi all.
I use Deskpro 500Mhz as a router in my home. Recently I tried to install TP-link pci wireless card. After booting and executing lspci there is no new devices. I tried the same card on my pc and it showed ok as Atheros wireless. I tried booting my home pc and router with knoppix and it's the same situation. What's wrong :|

Maybe that PCI slot is broken, have you tried another one?

Hi
Silly question.

Did you try inserting the adapter into another PCI slot ?

Specifically try a PCI slot other than slot 1.

Regards

Chris

Slot is ok. Ethernet card in the same slot works fine.

Hi

Well that eliminates the slot on the motherboard if another card works ok.
You've tested the adapter in another machine so that rules that out.
Would you please specify the model number of the Compaq desk pro
(you will find a sticker on the side of the case that identifies the machine model and type)

Regards

Chris

Would you please also cut and paste a copy of the output of lspci into this problem as well.

Regards
