merci!

How to backup a volume group

Redhat EL 5.
I use the virtual machine sun. I created a VG called CAD consisting of 3 minutes.
How do I make a backup of the VG on VG composed of a different partition?
And how to get there?
Thank you!
You can use "Google Translate" to get a result like the above.

Message from coolloo_djack : I created a VG composed of 3 partitions
on a same harddisk. How do I make a backup of that VG on another VG
composed of one different partition? And how to get there?

It is not quite clear what you mean.
""And how to get there?"" → Which partition ?
May be show the output of : /sbin/fdisk -l
( You will have to do 'su' to use the fdisk command.)

And then tell, which of the the partitions, we talk about.
( You may even have to add a new line to '/etc/fstab' to
mount / access another partition on RH EL 5.)

Generally about making backups of "Virtualbox VDE's" ..
.. please have a look at post # 2 here
