Color callibrattion of the Monitor
 
Is there in linux a utility or a possibility to do what I like to do as I describe in the thread title ?
By collor I do not mean color depth , but the mix of the colors and brightness

Argyll CMS might work for you depending on the precision you want and the presence of a spyder colorimeter.

Gamma test images and other graphics tests will get you close. There are lots of them on the Internet. They are just pictures to get your monitor approximately tuned.

I read somewhere that F13 introduced a new color management system by default making it easy to calibrate a monitor.
