Chipset Identification

I have a USB device that I need to function on Mandrake Linux. However, I can't find the right drivers for it. It's a Wireless LAN device and it's eating me up. Does anyone know how to find the right drivers for it? Without a network connection, I'd prefer a method under Windows XP (curse it) because I can't be here and in Linux at once.

Maybe if you specified the manufacturer and exact model number, people could offer some help. Just saying you've got a "USB device" that's a "wireless LAN device" doesn't exactly narrow the field. -- J.W.
