What is the cheapest linux compatible printer in TCO for a home user who does not do that much printing (20 pages or less a week) but would like to have photo quality colour prints.
I used to have a HP Desk Jet but it has died and I don't want to spend that much on ink again if I can help it.
for ink you can allway use the refill kits or in some case a printer can be cheeper than the the ink it includes so you can buy a couple printers sell them and keep the ink
yeah, used refill kits on my canon, they want over $40 for just the black tank, epsons' black tank is $16, not worth the effort to refill at that price
40 dollars for ink refillers here it's 16-20 for black and white or color with a cartirge running about 50-100 and on a nother note 2/3 of hp 20billion dollar revenue came from thier printer buisness inc toner and color
