Changing CDROM
i run slackware 9.1 on a compaq presario serie unknown
I had to change cdrom from a
matsushita-kotobuki
model:cr-5850-c
Compaq made
to
matsushita-kotobuki
model:cr-585-b
not a compaq made
My BIOS detect it find.
it show on boot cr585 atapi-CDROM
in setup it auto detect on secondary master.
Linux is running hotplug and detect on boot.:
HDC cr585 cd/dvd
HDC attached ise-cdrom Driver
HDC atapi 24x cd-rom driver 128kb cache DMA
Uniform cdrom Driver Revision 3.13
Now i can play musik cd without problem(im using workbone)
I can mount a Windows CD problem less.
When trying to mount my slack cd.:
"mounting point is write protected, mounting read only"
"no medium found"
now my installed system is somewhat minimal, 771MB, with X and fluxbox
i have to install a full slackware OP on a second partition.
Any idea on how to fix this will be more than welcome.
Thank you
