Change Broadcom Ethernet media from auto to 10BaseT

Hi Guys,

I am trying to change my ethernet card Broadcom Corp. BCM4401-B0 from auto to 10Base-T.
I am tried with media option for ifconfig, but nothing happened, the sistem showed me a message telling that it's not supported.
Is there any other way?

According to the man page for ifconfig, not all cards and drivers support all options. See man ifconfig.

The bigger question is why would you want to change this? If the 'auto' setting is working, why change it? If not, what symptoms are you seeing?

I downloaded ethtool and with this I could change the speed
