Centos 6.2 Skype no audio through Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000
I have searched the forums and not gotten a clear solution to this problem.
I have a Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 plugged into my CENTOS 6.2 workstation.
The video component works just fine, but the audio does not.
I can't seem to get the microphone to work on the camera under Skype (or any other application).
My guess at this point is I have misconfigured my sound settings and can't figure out how to get them back. (Clicking on 'default' under System settings doesn't seem to work).
I've only installed alsa and not pulseauido.
I'm running CENTOS 6.2 (64-bit) kernel: 2.6.32-220.17.1
My desktop environment is KDE.
Hardware: Intel DP67BGB3 + i7-2600K
I'm using the built-in sound card which seems to work fine for everything else.
Should I install/use pulseaudio instead of alsa?
Any and all help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
