CentOS 5.2 Linux Kernel 2.6.18-92.1.10.el5 - Cannot Load e1000e driver


Hi Everyone,
I have a CentOS 5.2 Linux system here running Kernel 2.6.18-92.1.10.el5. The system I have has only one (1) PCI-Express interface with an Intel Card. The driver for this card is a e1000e according to the Intel website. I have compiled the driver here are the details

lsmod output
e1000e 125384 0

Here is the lspci output. The card does not seem to be there however the PCI Express port is up

'lsmod' : If 'e1000' is included too, it will be used,
and prevent the function of 'e1000e'

I guess, e1000 can be blacklisted.?
