Question removed.

Welcome to LQ. If you were trying to mount your floppy, I assume that you've got a floppy inserted into the drive - have you removed it? -- J.W.

I am so utterly embarrassed. You're my new hero. Thanks for helping a new girl out. |
You're welcome, I'm glad it worked. One other thing you might want to consider would be to change the boot sequence in BIOS to go to the CD first, then the floppy, then the hard drive. At least in my experience that generally seems to be the most useful configuration. -- J.W.
