cdrom problem


hello friends

this is abdul

i am newbie to linux and have the following problem

i want to install GCC on my system so when i go to add/Remove programs

i have marked a check against the gcc in the program list to be installed and it ask for a second cd(REDHAT 9.0)

when i put the cd it says "unable to find the specified device"

when i mount the cd and checked in the mounted directory i do not find any file names but only ?????????????????????????????.????

as the contents of the cd

when i keep any other cds it is mounting successfully and i am able to browse the cd

how to tackle the problem

You probably have a bad CD. See if you can find a replacement for the second CD.
