cd writer problem
 

hi guys,
I have redhat8.0 and i am having samsung cd writer . when i boot my system the following error message is shown

updfstab: cannot stat /dev/cdrom1: No such file or directory

pls help me what is the problem in my system and how to solve it

A somewhat speculative answer, but worth a shot...

Browse around in the output from dmesg, until you figure out what device your cdrom is. Could be just /dev/cdrom. Then, go into /etc/fstab and change the entry containing /dev/cdrom1 to whatever the real name is.
