CD Rom mount problems

I am using MDK 9 and whenever I insert a cdrom, a short time afterward if I do a directory listing I get an error:

ls: /mnt/cdrom/file: No such file or directory.

sometimes when I manually umount and eject the cd it goes away, but most of the time the error returns. Both my DVD-ROM and CD-RW drives do this.

I'm wondering if this is not a MDK specific thing, b/c MDK does weird things with the /etc/fstab file.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try disabling automount for your DVD and CDROM and see if you still have the same problem.

That worked. However, is there a way to keep supermount on and not have the same problem occur?
