Cant mount CD+RW in redhat 9

when i left click in Gnome and choose Disks, then cdrom it says this.....
.................................................................................................... .......................
Could not mount device. |
|
The report was: |
|
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/cdrom, |
|
or too many mounted file systems |
|
(could this be the IDE device where you in fact use |
|
ide-scsi so that sr0 or sda or so is needed?) |
""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""

I know redhat see's the cd drive and grub.conf has the scsi emulation on and i would be very happy (like it matters) if someone could give me a hand. The last installation i made had this problem and went away for some odd reason. thanks

hello,

Would you pls check your /etc/fstab file? I got some similar error in my machine because of incorrect form or line in this file. For a cdrom a line should exists in fstab file. This line should look like
/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,owner,kudzu,ro 0 0

(device_name mount_point file_system options)

this worked for me, but can't garrantee about you

Thanks
