cant load my ethernet card.

Hi all

after entering ifconfig eth0
its says No such device. Do I have to install a new driver for my NIC?
If so how will I get files from cd?

Maybe your card is eth1. What is the output from running
Code:
lspci
lsmod
and what specific NIC (make/model) do your have?

thnaks for the reply

I have tried evry thing possible like ifconfig -a where there is no eth
only lo

lspci

it tells ethernet controller- VIA technologies VT6102. and I think its right.

I have the asus 775 P5V800 MX motherboard and I went to the web site it supposed to be Realtek 8201...
After little bit of research VIA and realteck is same company.

Whats wrong with my card?
How to enable it.
