Unhappy cant install fdisk error: "libparted >= 1.7.0 not installed - please install first"

hi guys,
I downloaded the source file of fdisk . and followed the steps to install it .

when i run ./configure ... the very first step ...it says ..

configure : error : libparted >= 1.7.0 not installed - please install first.

i installed parted successfully. . still its giving the same error .


plz help me out guys ...

and also .. i want to know if i can format the disk by a c code .

See if installing the development library of libparted helps. As far as I know sfdisk is often used for non-interactive formatting operations.

well .. i searched everywhere the libparted for red hat is out of service..

any idea where can i get libparted.1.7

You should be searching for "parted rpm".
