cant bootup from usbstick on asrock K7S41GX motherboard

I installed ubuntu 7.10 on usbstick on ASUS 7V880 motherboard, because of HD recognize problems on this motherboard, and had no problems booting with this usb device.

When I try to bootup with this usbstick on the asrock K7S41GX motherboard it wont bootup just stops, waits after mentioning the bootup device(usbstick)...

what could be done in bios?

I did anything in the bios of asus 7V880 motherboard before that bootup also, but both bios are not with all the same options...

thanks for some advice

d/load the mobo manual from here
http://www.asrock.com/mb/manual.asp?Model=K7S41GX&s=

there does not appear to be any bios flash for usb here
http://www.asrock.com/mb/download.asp?Model=K7S41GX&s=

and the manual merely states boot order can be changed so its up to you to change it by pressing F2 at bios

2) if you have....and usb lights flash at reboot..but no action...maybe there is an issue with the usb port....try different ones at the back? and if no lights at all....try each usb port.....according to website usb2 is supported

sorry for the bump, but i was searching for the same answer and this is straight from the faq at the official ASRock site.

Question (Q&A-06|27): Does ASRock motherboard support "Boot from USB device", if my USB device is bootable?(4/15/2003)
Answer:Yes! All of ASRock motherboards support "Boot from USB device".
When the system boot up, please press "F8" or "F11" to enter "Boot Menu" and select USB device for your fist boot device , then the system will boot from the USB device which you selected. For P4I45D, please plug the bootable USB device to USB port 2,3.

hope this helps.
