Canon ip1500 driver

My friend has Fedora Core 4 and he recently bought Canon ip1500 printer but we cannot find any drivers for it.I installed Turboprint on his computer and it works fine but it's demo and it prints the logo on every page.Can you help me/him out?

I've got the same printer and as far as i can tell there simply is no driver for it! except for turboprint... personally i'm thinking of actually buying it since it seems to be a worthwhile product but alternatives would be trying to find a generic usb printer driver that works or what i am doing which is outputting docs to pdf and printing them from windows... from now on i'm buying all my hardware once i know its supported
