Canon IP 2700 fails to print
I have a Canon Pixma IP2700 (usb) that won't print via CUPS in Scientific Linux 6.4 (64 bit). CUPS sends off a job and thinks it's concluded, but nothing prints.
I think this used to be solvable with the installation of a Canon package (cnijfilter) that is no longer supported by Canon. I tired to install it, but got errors related to missing (i.e. old 386, 32bit) libraries. Does anyone have another workaround? Would rpms for the 32bit libraries below install in /lib (rather than /lib64)? cnijfilter install output: Canon Inkjet Printer Driver Ver.3.30-1 for Linux Copyright CANON INC. 2001-2010 All Rights Reserved. ================================================== Command executed = rpm -Uvh ./packages/cnijfilter-common-3.30-1.i386.rpm error: Failed dependencies: libc.so.6 is needed by cnijfilter-common-3.30-1.i386 libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.0) is needed by cnijfilter-common-3.30-1.i386 libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.1) is needed by cnijfilter-common-3.30-1.i386 libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.1.3) is needed by cnijfilter-common-3.30-1.i386 libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.3) is needed by cnijfilter-common-3.30-1.i386 libcups.so.2 is needed by cnijfilter-common-3.30-1.i386 libdl.so.2 is needed by cnijfilter-common-3.30-1.i386 libdl.so.2(GLIBC_2.0) is needed by cnijfilter-common-3.30-1.i386 libdl.so.2(GLIBC_2.1) is needed by cnijfilter-common-3.30-1.i386 libpopt.so.0 is needed by cnijfilter-common-3.30-1.i386 libpthread.so.0 is needed by cnijfilter-common-3.30-1.i386 |
