Canon i250 drivers not working: workaround is needed

Hello everybody,

I have one problem - it's called Canon i250 printer.
I've tried www [dot] canon [dot] co [dot] nz/products/printers/colour_bj_printers/i250_drivers.html drivers, but it is not working afterall. Also I've tried to use package built for my linux system (Arch Linux) from these rpm's, but it's not working too. Interesting that TurboPrinting is working, but as you know they add huge banner in all resolutions and printing modes.

Any syggestions how to force my i250 to work?

Those might help. Also, it would be helpful to give error messages or specific problem descriptions to assist in solving your problem. Well, it won't help for me since all I can do is search for a similar problem, but there are some people here who actually know about these things.

The rpm works in mine: Fedora Core 3

Works in mine without compilation, just use the rpm.
I use Fedora Core 3, but perhaps by grabbing the same rpm version it also works in yours.

I posted my case in
