Canon BJC-4000 Printer & Suse 9.0


I hava a Suse 9.0 distribution install on my computer and a Canon BJC-4000 printer. I have configured the printer with YaST and it detect the printer correctly. But the problem became when I start printing any document. The problem is that the printer became to make a discontinous sound like 'piiii piii' the printer goes slow and slow, the computer goes slow and slow and finish stoping everything and I have to restart my computer.
Can anyone help me, please?
