Can we system log file will it create any problem

hello frends
i want to now about if we make some change in log file like /proc/cpuinfo or /etc/sysconfig/ like i have intel and i change it to AMD their or i change HWD addr in eth0 so will it create problem in connection making within network or in processing . what we have to suffer if we change parametres.

Some applications will read these system files to decide how to function. The exact effect depends on the file, the parameter, and the application. Note: the files in /proc and /etc/sysconfig are not log files.

The /proc files exist to facilitate communication with the kernel. /etc/sysconfig/ contains system configuration files (doh!). These files are essential to the correct working of your system and have standard methods for altering them.

Why? What do you want to do? (What did you do?!)
