Can I get dual monitors using DVI-i and DVI-D outputs?

I got permission from "the boss" to get a secondary monitor

I have an EVGA GeForce GTX 600 SuperClocked 02G-P4-2662-KR GeForce GTX 660 2GB 192-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card NVIDIA driver 319.32

and I'm currently connecting with the DVI-I port to my Asus VH238H 23" LED LCD Monitor - 16:9 - 2 ms so I bought another one.

Can I have 2 monitors (extended, or whatever desktops) if I connect the new display on the DVI-D port?

Thanks.

Yes, it should work just fine. ;)

Thanks!

I could cry.
It's is so beautiful to have all that real-estate

Backed up /etc/X11/xorg.conf and re-ran the 319.32 binary.
nvidia settings wouldn't "stick", so I created an ~/.xinitrc with one line in it:

Code:

nvidia-settings --load-config-only
and we're golden.

Couple of little tweaks here and there is about all. (conkyrcs and my terminator layout).

It's a Great Day!
