Hello!

I think I got a problim here..
I'm using SusE 9.1 personal and everything was working fine until today..

I can't connect to the internet, I can't open any websites or ping any of them to check if there's a connection..
BUT.. I can view the local network computers, I can do everything locally.. but I can't connect to the internet what so ever!!

the device is configured and working "since I can view the local network"..

But I don't know how to solve this problim!

Information:
Connection: Cable Modem connection
Using: D-Link Router
NatSemi Ethernet card

all of them are working fine.. but I still can't connect to the internet

I need to view the internet on linux..

Please Please Help..

Thanks in advance

Do you have your ISPs dns servers listed in /etc/resolv.conf in the format:
namserver ip.of.primary.dns
namserver ip.of.second.dns

What error does your browser return when you try to access the internet?

Have you tried to ping a url on the internet? What was the result?
Code:
ping -c www.linuxquestions.org
Have you tried rebooting the cable modem? Result?

Have you tried rebooting the router? Result?

If only your Linux box is unable to access the internet the problem is probably not with the cable modem.
Can you access the router's configuration program?
